With AI now, being a copywriter is a pain, since a lot of jobs are now gone. Still, big companies, that care about their brand messgae, have copywriters in their teams. I know a few of these and they are exceptional writers, great education and writing skills.

Copywriters work together with marketing managers. There's no way a writer's copy will be published without serious scrutiny from the main company. Yes, a lot of them make false claims, but it's not the copywriter's fault, they work based on guidelines.

I tried many years ago. It was a job board for forum posting (so not products, but services). The issue was that the platform did have its limitations and I had to get a VPS as well. It didn't do too well, so I closed it down.

It can work well, if you hit the right audience. It can be extremely expensive and in many cases it's a waste of money. But, when you do get the right partnership you would see excellent results.
