Selling health products online can lead to legal trouble if claims aren’t worded right. Do you write your own disclaimers? Ever had legal pushback?

For product pages, include disclaimers like health & safety notices, results disclaimers, refund and return policies, affiliate disclosures, and ingredient warnings. These protect your business and inform customers about potential risks, product effectiveness, and return procedures clearly.

The typical thing is that, for example, you don't have the problem that your client has bought the wrong medicine or that your client consumes too much of the product, which could end up causing some kind of damage to their health.

The legal disclaimer you need to add depends on the product you are selling. For example, if you are selling supplements, you need to clearly state that this product is not a substitute for medicine.

I am selling food products online. And the disclaimer that I add is that the product might cause some allergic reactions. I always advise customers to check the ingredients in case they have allergic reactions to any of them. That's why I always list my ingredients clearly.
