Both can expand reach, but which brings better ROI for you? Have you found micro-influencers more effective than paid social ads? What metrics help you decide where to invest next?

Both social media ads and influencers work, but the best choice depends on your goals. Ads offer control, targeting, and measurable results, while influencers bring trust and authentic engagement. Many brands combine both, using ads for reach and influencers for credibility, to create stronger campaigns that convert better.

Using social media influencer is very expensive which is the reason why I've never considered employing or paying for their services. I'd rather pay for internet ads and have more reach. It is just like the way I'm using Facebook ads to promote my brand.

Companies that make use of influencers have the budget to hire them and certainly know the benefits that they will get. The truth is that most of them are expensive and if one is not careful, one might even end up hiring one who is not passionate about what one wants them to do for your business.

Social media ads offer precise targeting and quick results, while influencer partnerships build trust and social proof. I’ve seen influencers convert better for lifestyle products, but direct ads can outperform when you need measurable scaling and control. The best strategy is usually a mix of both, testing to see what performs.
