Buying directly inside social apps is becoming normal. Shops on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook make the whole process feel seamless. Has anyone seen higher conversion rates from in-app purchases compared to traditional landing pages? What drives people to trust these formats?

These days I see a lot of people focusing on social commerce. They are not only using their social pages as a landing page for their self hosted ecommerce site or ecommerce marketplace store, they are even selling directly. One main reason why social commerce is growing is because social sites have millions and billions of active users.

Absolutely, the scale of social platforms makes them ideal for reaching large, targeted audiences. Social commerce also leverages trust and engagement, users often buy based on recommendations, reviews, or influencer posts. The challenge is balancing direct sales with community engagement, avoiding over-promotion that can drive followers away. Strategically integrating content and commerce tends to work best.

Social commerce integration blends shopping directly into social or community platforms. When done well, it reduces friction, builds trust through social proof, and shortens the buying journey. When rushed, it can feel intrusive and damage community culture. Balance and transparency matter.
