Central leadership provides clear direction, but distributed authority empowers teams. Which model better handles high-pressure moderation events without delays or mistakes? If you are running a forum are are a staff in any forum, what do you have single leader or multiple leaders?

I once had multiple admins on my forums, it had a distributed authority. Sometimes it created conflict because not everyone would come to the same conclusion. managing forums with distributed authority can be challenging.

It depends on the size. Small communities can run fine with a single leader, but once a forum gets large, distributed authority usually works better. It keeps things manageable and prevents burnout, especially when activity spikes or moderation needs get heavier.
