Should I index author pages on my medical blog?

Using WordPress, I have noticed there are some pages that list content: author, tags and category. Should I bother index author pages? Is it a good idea?

Are you an expert writer? I mean on your medical blog, do you write as a healthcare professional or general writer? If you are genera writer, there is no need for indexing author page unless you want to be known, otherwise, it is important to index your author page
