Ad networks take a big cut. Have you approached brands directly for banner or sponsorship deals? What’s your process for pricing and managing direct ad placements in a small community?

Selling ad space directly can be worth it if your site has a focused, engaged audience. If your your website is niche focused, you are likely to attract advertisers compared to running mukti tooic websites or a websites without any focused niche. You keep full revenue and control over partnerships. However, it requires outreach, negotiation, and relationship management. For small sites, the effort may outweigh benefits unless traffic and niche relevance are strong enough to attract advertisers consistently.

I haven’t done direct sponsorship deals myself, but if I did, I’d start by highlighting member demographics and engagement rather than raw traffic numbers. Pricing would be based on impressions and relevance to the niche. I’d offer simple packages like monthly banner spots or sponsored threads and track performance transparently.

I would say that there is no harm in selling ad space on your forum; you never know who may be interested and take you up on that offer.

If you are looking to get more sales for that ad space, though, building up content on your forum and working on bringing more traffic to your forum is a must.
