I have been running self hosted blog for over 10 years. despite the popularity of video content, I think blogging is still one of the best platform for marketing. That's because unlike social media where your content visibility entirely depends on the platform's algorithm, with self hosted blog, you have full control.
 
Blogging builds trust, boosts SEO, and drives traffic over time. With quality content and consistency, it can definitely support long-term brand growth and audience engagement.
 
Yes, although preferably if you already have capital I recommend you directly create a complete website that covers everything that is necessary, not just a blog, since in a certain way a blog is something old-fashioned today.
 
Blogging still works perfectly for marketing for brands that want to build sustainable presence and traffic online. Blogging might not work as a marketing tool for quick sales but with a properly executed blog, a brand gets authenticity through search engine visibility and starts making regular sales.
 
Blogging could still be a profitable way of making good sum of extra income. However, we must understand that blogging is no longer the same thing we saw 15 years ago. Even at that time, running a blog was not that easy. Always remember that running a blog for money is a bad decision. Your blog must have a purpose.
