SEO and social promotion still matter, even for forums. Do you focus on keyword-optimized threads, partnerships, or social media cross-promotion? How do you get consistent new signups without paid ads?

You can use digital marketing to grow a small forum. The most effective methid, I think is content marketing. Start sharing valuable content on social media, blogs, and email newsletters. Engage with related online communities and invite members to join. Use SEO to improve search visibility, and consider small paid campaigns targeting audiences interested in your niche to attract genuine, active participants.

You can grow a small forum through digital marketing by targeting niche audiences, running social ads that highlight discussions, and creating valuable content that leads back to the forum. Partnering with influencers, sparking conversations on social platforms, using SEO to rank threads, and offering incentives for early members to engage are some effective methods

I still believe that making use of social media platforms when it comes to growing a small community is always very effective if you know how to target the right audience on the different social media platform you are promoting your community digitally. Facebook and TikTok still remains among the most effective social media platforms where you can promote your community digitally.

Trust me it is not possible to get registrations or even traffic on your forums through facebook or tiktok that are bombard with visual content. However, in my experience site slike Bluesky, Threads or even Twitter can be useful as these sites are less visual and more text based.
