Self employed can be better option for managing personal and professional life, flexible working hours, and better earning opportunities. If you are considering move to self employment from a regular job, the main point to consider is your income potential, before quitting your job, ask yourself:

Can you generate consistent income with your current skills?

Is your freelancing income enough to cover living expenses?

Do you have regular clients or a growing customer base?

If you want to transition, you should be already earning part-time income from freelancing before. This ensures that your skills are marketable and that there is demand for your services.

First and foremost you must make sure that the new job (that is, self-employment) gives you enough money to live on, this is vital that you take into account, secondly you must register for the taxes that you must pay in your country to invoice money without problem as a self-employed person, then once you have everything ready you can leave your typical job to be self-employed, in addition you must have good financial management, this is obvious and if possible savings to work without pressure

I’ve honestly never thought much about leaving a regular job to become self-employed. It seems exciting but also risky. I imagine careful planning and saving would be key before making such a big move.

It might be quite difficult to generate income immediately as a self employed individual. Therefore, you should begin by part time work. When you are confident that you can generate enough money to pay your bills you can ditch your regular job

When I transitioned from paid employment to self employment, I just jumped in and started my business. The saving grace was that I was living with my mom at that time. And I was surviving through her. That was why I was able to navigate through the time it took for me to start earning consistently from my business.

You shouldn't leave your day job until or unless you have established your offline business or setup that may allow you to live a comfortable life based on online income solely. This is a fundamental approach when it comes to making money online. Many people may leave their jobs and then pursue online careers. This may not go well for them.

Without a doubt, moving from a regular job to being self-employed requires planning and realism. Personally, I believe the key is to first test your skills partially, generating freelance income while still holding down your job. This allows you to assess whether your services are in demand and whether you can cover your basic expenses without compromising your stability. It's also important to build a solid client base and maintain long-term relationships, as income consistency depends on them. Flexibility and control over your time are huge advantages, but they only work if there's a clear financial and professional plan in place before making the full leap. I recommend measuring your current income, projecting expenses, and ensuring your service offering is competitive and necessary in the market before leaving a stable job.

Many people who work 9 to 5 jobs nay not have enough to to practice skills. Their whole life revolves around their job. A freelancer is a skilled person who knows his job perfectly. You cannot turn a bank manager into a freelancer without trading because both the fields are very different from each other.
