How often do you add new sections?

A forum with many sections is looking out for more representation on different topics. This why forum owners try to add relevant sections to give members the right areas to discuss on what they need to.

If you're a forum owner, how often do you add new sections across your forum board. A lot of discussion can call in the off-topic section. Do you see the need to often tear out a specific section from this section?

I don't add new sections too frequently. I have been running one forum since 2021 and in the last 4 years, I have added just a few section. Most of the time I stay with the section that I originally created.

I don’t have experience with forum administration or management, so I haven’t added new sections myself. From what I understand, adding sections usually depends on community growth, emerging topics, and member demand, rather than a fixed schedule.

I don't think there is a need to add new sections to a forum if there are no topics from that proposed section overlapping in other sections. Those topics and discussions that overlap are indicative that the members want to talk about that particular area in specifics.
