Search volume gets attention, but high-volume terms aren't always the best opportunities. How much weight do you give to competition, search intent, and conversion potential? Have lower-volume keywords ever outperformed broader terms for your business?

I usually start by looking at intent first, not just search volume. A keyword is worth targeting if it matches what people actually want to do, like buy, compare, or learn something specific.

Then I check competition. If every top result is dominated by huge sites, it may take too long to break in unless I have a strong angle. I l also ook at business value. Even low-volume keywords can be worth it if they bring the right audience and lead to conversions.

I value search intent and conversion potential more than raw search volume. Lower-volume keywords often attract visitors who know exactly what they need, leading to better engagement and conversions. I consider competition too, because ranking for highly competitive terms isn't worthwhile if they don't generate meaningful business results.
