Like everything in life, sometimes things get better, other times, unfortunately, they get worse, and other times, everything stays the same. So, I'd like to ask you: has the SEO you use changed at all in recent years? Did you have to make a major change, or were you able to maintain the same way of working with your SEO without having to modify anything?

I started learning SEO in 2013. The basic rules are same, there hasn't been any changes to keyword usage, backlinks, and search algorithm. However, some newer metrics have evolved, for instance, evolution of zero search clicks, AI overview, etc.

SEO has evolved even from the last five years. Search Engines are now ranking results for searches based on user intent. That's why you don't just stuff a content with keywords. But you try to consider follow up questions that might arise.

SEO has evolved with more focus on user intent, quality content, and mobile optimization. Search engines now prioritize experience over keywords.

SEO has definitely changed over the years. I had to shift from keyword stuffing to focusing on user intent and quality content. Mobile optimization and site speed became crucial. So, yes, I made major changes to stay aligned with evolving search algorithms and user behavior.

One thing that has really evolved in SEO overtime is the rise of "People First Content". Gone are the days when contents are just written for just so that web crawlers can find them easily. The "People First" policy in contents now ranks contents that are genuinely helpful higher.
