As a marketer, do you really need your own website? can you build your reputation as a marketer without building your own website? Managing your website can be really hard, the time you spend on building your website could serve better purpose if you focus on freelancing platforms or even social media. Do you agree?

I am not experienced in this matter but I believe having your own website helps build authority. It helps your online visibility. Of someone wants to look for you online, having a website will make you appear on Google.

Well, you can build your reputation as a marketer even when you do not have a website. A lot of social medias influencers do not have website, even the freelancers offering marketing services through freelance markets do not have a website,

No you don't, you need presence in multiple social sites where you have hundreds of thousands followers. You also need knowledge and skills with advertising methods.

As a marketer, you need authority, that will be given only when you have a website. Let's say you have a huge page on facebook but you cannot get clients that are not on facebook. Having a website will get you rank on search engines, this will build a reputation as a marketer

I say it’s best and recommended to have one. Build up your portfolio from day one when working on clients their brand. Noy only that but also as a method for people to find your services. How else will you find potential clients?

Even when you are selling your marketing services directly through freelance markets, social sites, or forum marketplaces, having your own website helps you to build your brand as a marketer. If you have a website, you can even publish your clients testimonials and reviews thus helping you to rope in more clients.

I agree that having presence on multiple social sites will help you. However, with website you will build your own brand and rule over search engine as a personal brand. This is quite not possible on social media

I think the best approach is to be available on multiple social media as well as have your own website. If you share your website link in your bio and have active presence in social media, it will be easier to build a brand and generate sales

Having a website gives you an added advantage but as a beginner in marketing, you do not need a website, or rather it is not a must to have one. With time you can get a website.

I don't think it is really necessary, especially as a marketer that is just starting out. There are other simpler ways of advertising that they can make use of.

If you don't have a website as a marketer, how do you suppose to build your own brand, how do you suppose to rank on search engines, how do you suppose to build trust among the clients.

If one has a website as an online marketer, it is an added advantage. But if one can't afford one, the person can still be an excellent marketer regardless. The use of social media platforms has helped people to be able to market products and build authority as marketers. There are so many people that are making sales on Facebook, and even on WhatsApp. They don't have a website.
