I think we've all heard this type of practice at some point in our lives: printing several flyers and distributing them throughout our neighborhood, or even the city if you want, to promote a service, business, company, etc. So the question is, have you ever done it? Have you printed flyers to promote your services or your store? If so, have you distributed them yourself or hired someone to do it?

Leaflets are quite common in my country. There are many companies and local businesses that tend to distribute leaflets in front of the mosques after every Jummah prayers in our country. This is why many people have turned their attention to this kind of marketing. Using leaflets is, therefore, a very common kind of practice nowadays. Leaflet marketing is also quite common in many western countries as well. Perhaps it seems that it is alo quite cheaper as well compared to other forms of offline marketing.

This is one of the most popular marketing methods used by small businesses in my town. They stand on the busy place and then hand leaflet to the pedestrians. If there is even one percent conversion, they will not only recover marketing budget but even make some profits.

From a personal point of view, I don't think that distributing leaflets would fly as an advertising method. I drop those leaflets as soon as I receive them. I have never bought anything promoted through leaflet. And most people around me won't. It doesn't just work.
Trying to market with leaflets, there is no way that you would be able to distribute the leaflets yourself. You would certainly need to hire people to help with distribution. That's another cost. It is only religious institutions that tasks members to distribute leaflets and they don't have to pay for distribution.
