While storytelling can be a great way to advertise and promote a particular service or product, how does storytelling affect the brand, i was making some research, and i came across brand storytelling as a way of branding. Does this mean the brand in general having a specific story or it's simply a way to create an identity for the brand.
 
The brand has specific audience in their mind when they enter the market. They need to create story that is attractive to the target market. Look at Apple products, they all target rich and affluent people. Even poor people are buying Apple product to look rich and affluent.
 
Brand storytelling is the brand trying to create a narrative about their products that connects emotionally to the market they are trying to target. Imagine, I sell used clothes. I try to sell a story of humble beginning or economizing to the middle class who would most likely be my target market.
 
Building brand storytelling starts with defining your brand’s core values, mission, and origin. You need to Create a relatable narrative that emotionally connects with your audience. Use consistent voice across platforms, highlight customer experiences, and show how your brand solves real problems.
 
When a brand deploys storytelling for marketing, they are simply crafting a narrative that spirals down through all their communications with the target audience. It tries to tell why they do the things they do. The aim is to create an emotional connection with their target customers.
 
The narrative for any valuable brand is absolutely necessary if you want your brand to reach as far as possible. The better the narrative, the further your personal brand will reach, so keep this in mind.

This is true, but only as long as the story the brand tells is really good, because if the story the brand tells is not entirely good, the truth is that it is not memorable at all.
