In our country, majority of the big businesses do not use sidewalk chalk to market or promote their businesses. Instead this technique is generally used by smaller or medium-sized businesses. Wall chalking was banned by our government because it made city untidy. However, the governmental policy was not implemented correctly.

I haven’t used sidewalk chalk to promote any business, and honestly, I think it mostly works for restaurants, cafes, or small local shops where people walk by and make quick decisions. For most other businesses, I’m not sure it would have much impact.

I have never used one, but I have been seeing many restaurants that do this in our area. They can easily catch the attention of people who pass by. In fact, whenever I see one, I can't help but check out what are offering. They usually use bright colors, as they stand out.
