I have used telegram and messenger on my sites for customer support and to grab leads. I haven't been very successful in building sales funnel but I know using instant messaging apps can help you build your funnels.

I use Facebook messenger as a sales funnel since most of my online promotion are done on Facebook. When I make a promotional content on Facebook, I embed a link that when clicked, it opens up a chat conversation with a sales rep. That has helped me eliminate the need for a landing page.
As far as I know, chat funnels can provide you with quick and personalized answers. In my personal case, I prefer to use bots because they automate everything, but well, this depends on each person and each case. This is my recommendation for you.
